Redline believes strongly in empowering the people of South Africa. As such we are strongly committed to South Africa and its growth as a player in a global industry. Growing South Africa’s black professionals is intrinsic to our policy on empowerment and transformation. Our aim is to position ourselves for a successful, long-term business future while also benefiting the broader community. With a Black consortium owning 37.45% of Redline (effective legal BEE ownership with voting rights and economic benefit), our BEE breakdown looks like this:
  • 45% of control is reflected by board representation by black South Africans,
  • 50% of executive management by black South Africans,
  • And a Staff Equity Employment ratio of 40.90% against an industry scorecard target of 45% (currently no charter governing the communications industry).
We are proud to have in place our BEE Skills development and training initiatives, which include:
  • SETA
  • Iziko
  • ALP
  • Over 2% of annual salary cost committed to training

Redline boasts a BEE Procurement policy of 32.5% and over 1% of NPAT committed to CSI (Corporate Social Investment) initiatives. This Enterprise Development consists of free office space and provision of business opportunities for a small Black Owned eventing and marketing consulting company. Along with the three partners of the black empowerment consortium, Bourasque Advertising Investments – which own 26% of Draftfcb South Africa, we are a very active BEE participant committed to developing this nation.
